Sessions

Roundnet Göteborg offers a variety of sessions, to fit both the need of playing for fun and socializing, as well as practicing and improving your skills and technique.

Tuesday pick-up

Tuesday pick-up are for our members who have the ambition to compete on a high club/national level. The focus is to practice game play.

Thursday practice

Thursday practices are for our members who want to develop their game and get more focused exercises. Each week we practice on a specific part of roundnet.

League - Starts 5 May

We host two series per year - one in the spring and one in the fall. These are divided into several divisions, so no matter if you are an experienced player or if you just discovered the sport you can join and play games in a level that suits you.

Roundnet facts

Roundnet can be likened with beachvolleyball, where two teams with two players face each other, trying to return the ball to the net. What's special about roundnet is that there are no playing fields and no borders.

How to get points

When the opposing team does one of the following, you score a point.

A ball hitting the rim
Hit the rim
A ball hitting the ground
Hit the ground
A ball bouncing twice on the net

Ground

This pillar is meant to highlight the value of the roots of the club and touches upon the activities that has laid the ground for what the club is today.

This includes:

Purpose: A sporting community for everyone & an opportunity to discover the sport

Width

This pillar is meant to give members the possibility to practice roundnet as a moderately serious sport. It is set for those who want to play more, to develop, to try the competition format, and to compete at a lower club/national level.

This includes:

Purpose: More opportunities for playing, develop, and compete for fun

Pillar with the label "peak"

Peak

This pillar is meant to fill a need that has been noticed in our club. It is for members who have the ambition of playing at a high club/national level and who want to be challenged by playing in high competition. We want to help members with high goals and support them in this.

This includes: 
- Tuesday play
- Practice sessions
- Series

Purpose: Support members with high ambitions and give space for more playing with focus on competing and development
